Hamburger/Hot Dog Buns

Hamburger/Hotdog Buns

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. To make the hamburger or hotdog buns you will need a form to put the batter into. These can be bought or you can make your own using aluminum foil. If using foil, the height of the form needs to be approximately 1 1/2 inches tall.
  3. Once you have the form lightly grease them on the inside and place on a lightly greased parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  4. Prepare Breads From Anna® Bread Mix according to the package instructions.
  5. Spoon bread dough into forms filling them half way.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

To make a free form hamburger bun I suggest the following:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Get a large bowl of warm water and two parchment paper lined cookie sheets.
  3. Prepare the bread dough accoring to package instructions.
  4. Dip hands in the bowl of warm water. With hands very wet scoop up approximately 1/3 cup of dough. This is an approximation. You can make the bun as small or large as you like so you may want to scoop out more or less dough. Note: It is important to keep your hands wet and free of dough. As soon as dough begins too sticky and it becomes difficult to handle, submerge hands in warm water and remove any dough.
  5. Gently form a bun and place on the parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  6. Place in hot oven for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Cool on a cooling rack. One bread mix will make between 18-24 buns, depending on the size on each bun.
